01What is VOR

A publisher owns more than articles. VOR puts all of it to work.

An archive, an audience, editorial expertise, reader relationships, commercial relationships, data and a brand. A legacy CMS stores the first and ignores the rest. VOR connects these assets so that publishing, distribution, intelligence, engagement and revenue reinforce one another – and so that the whole is worth more than a collection of separate tools.

Your archiveImported, searchable, republishable in every language – the back catalogue earns again.
Your audienceCounted at the edge, brought back by the reader app and the loyalty card.
Your newsroom's expertiseMultiplied by AI colleagues that draft, translate and check – under your rules.
Your commercial relationshipsAffiliate networks, native, partner pages and display in one panel, per article.
Your dataReadership and revenue per article, per day – yours to keep and export.
Your brandTemplates, home page and app built for your title – not a theme.
What changes for the newsroomOne system for writing, translating, checking and publishing, with AI under your rules. Better workflows can release newsroom capacity for journalism.
What changes for the audienceA reader app, useful tools and a loyalty card give people reasons to come back – configurable to your title.
What changes for the businessReadership and revenue per article inform where the next hour and euro go. Translation can open additional language markets.

02The engines

Three engines. One way of working.

VOR Media Technologies runs three engines built on the same idea: read everything, put official records first and leave the decision to a person. VOR reads the media. VERA reads property. VAR, coming soon, reads the law.

Media engine

VOR

Reads the media.

Reads
Mainly European and American media – 2,500 articles every day, sorted by the rules set in the engine: source weight, relevance to the publisher’s readers, duplication against what is already published and commercial value.
Official first
Agencies, registers, courts and companies’ own filings outrank any outlet. Social media counts only as a trend signal, never as fact.
Delivers
The stories, with headlines, tags and translations in each title’s own voice, the internal links that keep readers on site, and what earns – per article and per network. Nothing goes live until an editor says yes.
Scale
2,500 articles a day · 17,500 a week · 900,000+ a year
Territory
Europe
Named after
Vör, the Norse goddess from whom nothing can be hidden.
Property engine

VERA

Reads the property record.

Reads
The French property record parcel by parcel – 23 public sources, from the cadastre, recorded sales and planning to risks, energy ratings, elevation and orthophotos. In France everything is public but fragmented; VERA brings the scattered, hard-to-reach data together.
Measures
What no register holds: the distance to the water, the pool area, the shared fence, the open ground.
Delivers
Briefs a buyer, an owner, an investor or their lawyer can act on – every figure with its source, its date and its caveat. Where two official sources disagree, both are printed and neither is chosen.
Scale
93.9 M cadastral parcels · 14 M+ recorded sales · 23 public sources
Territory

Named after
Vár, the goddess associated with oaths and agreements.
Legal engine

VAR Coming soon

Reads the law.

Reads
Legislation, court decisions, official guidance and selected regulators in each country – France on matters such as tax, employment and data protection, Germany on a federal foundation, the United Kingdom across its separate legal systems – plus the European layer shared across the service: EU legislation and judgments, European human rights judgments and regulatory guidance.
For
Small law firms in the three countries – the trained legal expert, on the legal disciplines of each.
Delivers
The ground prepared, the sources checked, the drafts written – every reference named and dated, a gap stated rather than filled in, disagreeing authorities both shown. The judgement stays with the lawyer.

03Why fragmented systems hold you back

Media runs on systems built for another era

Most small and medium-sized media companies still publish on a legacy CMS – often WordPress stretched with plug-ins, or a system that only a vendor or an IT department really controls. Readers, platforms and AI have moved on. The tools have not.

  • Patchwork, not a platform

Editing, translation, SEO, shopping links and analytics live in separate plug-ins and services that don't talk to each other – and break when one of them updates.

  • Fragmented data, fragmented decisions

Readership sits in one tool, revenue in monthly network reports, the archive in the CMS and the audience in nobody's hands. Decisions are made on habit because the evidence is spread across systems that never meet – and every change waits in a queue of plug-ins and custom work.

  • AI arrives as a bolt-on

Text is pasted between chat windows and the CMS – with no rights, no revisions and no record of what an agent actually did.

  • Revenue is guesswork

Few can say what a single article earned, so time and money follow habit instead of results.

Side by side

What changes when you switch

The same newsroom, the same archive, the same readers – and a different system underneath. Ten things that change on day one.

Legacy CMS
Languages

One language – or a plug-in and a translator per language.

15 languages from one draft, translated and checked in Studio, on the same address with the language in front.

Readers

A tracking script that ad blockers and consent banners silence.

Page views and readers counted at the edge for every page delivered – including readers who block scripts. Read time and scroll depth come from the site's own script, where it runs.

Revenue

Network reports once a month, matched to articles by hand.

Every euro that carries an article id is tied to its article – affiliate, native, partner pages, display – read nightly and ready by the morning brief. Revenue without an id is shown as unassigned; forecasts are marked as forecasts.

Buy links

Broken links found by readers, weeks later.

Every buy link is checked daily. A dead one is flagged the same morning and rewritten where a tracked alternative exists – otherwise it lands in the newsroom's to-do list.

AI

Text pasted between a chat window and a text box – no rights, no log.

AI colleagues with roles and rights, under your rules. A draft is checked by the format guard; a person releases.

The reader

A visitor. Anonymous, gone after one page.

A reader app with 27 features and a loyalty card – verified, returning, on the home screen.

The home page

Edited by hand, whenever someone has time.

Rotates by itself; the menu row is recalculated every morning by yesterday's readers.

Your data

Inside the vendor's database, on the vendor's terms.

Export everything as open JSON, any time: content, languages, revisions, media, releases.

Going live

A migration project with a date that moves.

The first title live in a day, on top of your WordPress; the archive import runs in the background. Switching the site itself to VOR is a separate step you decide.

The team

More output means more people.

Designed so a small team can publish like a large one: agents draft, check and report; the newsroom decides.

04How the ecosystem works

Ecosystem thinking: revenue on every asset you own

A legacy publishing system is a place to store articles. VOR is an ecosystem around your title, where every asset earns: the archive is re-published and re-linked, the audience becomes an app on the home screen, anonymous readers become known ones, the data flows back as the next idea, and four income streams land on the article they came from. The newsroom and its AI colleagues, the site on the edge, the reader app, the loyalty programme, the numbers – and the guards that watch all of it.

  1. SignalsReaders, searches, campaigns and the wider world – read around the clock by the trend watch.
  2. Editors & agentsTurn the signals into orders and drafts – people decide, AI drafts under your rules.
  3. StudioProduction, translation, checking and release – in your templates.
  4. Distribution & readersSite, home page, app, search and loyalty card carry the content to people.
  5. Analytics & InsightsReadership at the edge, revenue per article, the morning brief.
  6. MonitoringBroken buy links, wrong prices, duplicates, pages that stop answering – found before readers do.
  7. Next decisionWhat to write, translate, promote or fix next – and the cycle turns again.

05The product in practice · interactive demonstration

Each person organises the information they need

An editor-in-chief watches revenue and the queue; a section editor watches most read and the trend watch. In Studio the overview is one grid – 21 blocks and 24 key figures – that each person arranges for themselves, and the layout is saved on their account. In the product, every block drags by its grip, every key figure moves one step earlier or later or hides – and comes back with a tap – and VOR writes the layout to the person's account 0.6 seconds after the last move. Try the same controls here; in this demonstration nothing is saved.

Drag a blockPoint at a block and a grip appears in its corner. Hold it and drag: a marker shows where the block will land, before or after the one under your pointer. Nothing jumps until you let go.
Move a figurePress Customise layout and every key figure gets ← → ✕. One step earlier, one step later – drawn at once, in your order. The first six sit on top; the rest wait behind “Show 18 more figures”.
Hide, never lose✕ hides a figure. It stays as a dashed tile in the grid with “+ Show” – and outside Customise, a button “1 hidden figure: Read time per view +” takes you straight to it. Reset the figures restores the default order.
Yours aloneThe order and the hidden figures are saved per person. And the last row never leaves an empty space: the last tiles widen to fill it, on every screen width.

Interactive demonstration – drag a figure, or use ← → ✕. Nothing is sent anywhere; the layout resets when you reload.

Real time · simulated demo

The newsroom's pulse, as Analytics shows it

In VOR Analytics the numbers move while you watch: readers right now, page views per minute, countries, pages and sections – refreshed every 15 seconds from the edge count, no script in the reader's browser. This panel simulates that rhythm with example data so you can feel the pace. Nothing here is a real title's figures.

Simulated example: about 49 000 readers in the last hour, 24 000 in the last 30 minutes, 5 200 active right now; the figures on this panel change every two seconds for demonstration.

Inside the product

Depth in every part of the working day

Six views from VOR Studio and VOR Insights, drawn to the product's own typography with example content – illustrative views, not screenshots. Every view exists in the product today; the names, titles and figures are examples.

Studio

Write once, in a template made for the job

News, product picks, live report, recipe, interview, gallery, podcast – 31 templates, each with its own blocks and its own checks. A draft cannot be released until it passes: tags set, hero image at the right size, every buy link carrying the article's ID.

  • Preview links anyone can open – no login, no plug-in.
  • Scheduled releases to the minute, per language.
  • Immutable revisions – every save kept, any of them restorable.

Rights and agents

Agents on a short leash

An AI agent is a user like any other – with fewer rights. It starts with drafts. Publishing and scheduling are granted per section, template and language by an administrator, and every action is written to a log that nobody can edit.

  • Roles per person and per agent – sections, templates, languages.
  • Own key per agent, revoked with one click.
  • Every action logged – who, what, when, as the agent, not the person.

Translation

15 languages, each a version of its own

One click gives a translation draft in the next language – same blocks, same images, same buy links, re-tracked in the new language's programme. Nothing goes live before a person approves it.

  • Every language its own version – edited, scheduled and released separately.
  • Same address, with the language in front.
  • Linked for search engines – hreflang and sitemaps per language.

Insights

Every network's revenue, side by side

Clicks, sales and commission are fetched from every affiliate network each night and matched to the article they came from – because every buy link carries the article's ID. The newsroom sees what each story earns; management sees what to do next.

  • Four streams, one table – affiliate read from every network, native and partner pages from the orders, display forecast beside them; one currency, reconciled.
  • Campaign suggestions from what is selling, by language and section.
  • Assignment queue – what to write next, with previews waiting for a yes.

Monitoring

Watches what people miss

Every buy link is checked the way a reader would click it – through the network's tracking, all the way to the shop. Dead pages, changed prices, missing tracking and duplicate stories are found before readers find them, and land as tasks rather than surprises.

  • Every link clicked through, every night.
  • Prices compared with the shop's own, so the article never promises less.
  • Fixed at the source – in the article, not in a spreadsheet.

Chat

An AI colleague with a badge

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to the newsroom and every editor gets an agent that works inside Studio – in the right template, in the right section, with the rights you grant and nothing more. No keys in the chat: Claude signs in with a button, as the person using it.

  • 41 tools in the Claude connectors, 29 operations for ChatGPT Actions.
  • Drafts only by default – a person releases.
  • Asks the same data the panel shows: readers, revenue, what's next.

How it works

From reader demand to readership and revenue, in one flow.

Reader demand → editorial suggestion → order → draft → human review → multilingual release → readership and revenue reporting. Every step exists in the product today.

  1. Demand

The trend watch reads searches, campaigns and over a hundred sources and scores what readers want.

  2. Suggest & order

A scored suggestion becomes an order with angle, keywords and stores – one tap, also from the phone.

  3. Draft

Editors and agents draft in the same Studio, in templates made for the job.

  4. Review

The format guard checks headline, hero, tags, buy links and prices; a person approves.

  5. Release

Published now or on the minute you choose, in every language version you tick.

  6. Measure & earn

Readers at the edge, revenue per article by the morning brief – and the next suggestion.

06How the products work together

Five products, two built-in capabilities, one API. Every step from idea to income.

From signal to headline in minutes – with your agent in your pocket

The trend watch reads over a hundred sources around the clock. A search nobody has answered, a campaign that just started, a story everyone else is writing – it becomes a scored suggestion, an order in one tap, a draft minutes later. From your phone.

In your pocketConnect Claude on your phone to Studio and Insights with one Allow. Ask how today is going, order a shopping edit, approve a draft, check a headline – as you, with your rights, from anywhere.
Never aloneThe system's own agent empties the order queue every hour, writes the day's first draft, runs the checks and the evening report. Your agents draft in the right template and section – a person releases.
GuardedAn agent never publishes on its own. Every draft passes the format guard, every action is logged, every buy link is clicked through before readers see it.
  • The trend watch reads over a hundred sources, the site's own searches and the networks' campaigns – around the clock.
  • The morning brief sums up the night; the menu row is recalculated by yesterday's readers.
  • The day's first draft is ready before the newsroom arrives – read, edit, publish or schedule.
  • A suggestion scored on search volume, competition and campaigns – ordered from the phone with one tap.
  • The draft is ready for review: right template, right section, tags set, buy links tracked, a preview link anyone can open.
  • Published in every language – approved from the phone, live on the site and in the app, counted from the first reader.
  • The link guard clicks the buy links through; the order queue is emptied; alarms land where you work.
  • The evening report to management: what earned, what was read, what was published, what was fixed.

Example day. Times in your newsroom's time zone.

The trend watch reads over a hundred sources – so your newsroom does not have to

Every headline from the titles you choose to follow, by country and by theme, with the site's own searches and the networks' campaigns beside them. What is worth writing about becomes a scored suggestion in the overview; what a source stops publishing shows up in Sources' health. An example of the international tab, drawn with example data.

What VOR has written – waiting for your yes

The agent's drafts land in the editor-in-chief's panel, not on the site. Each one is read and edited in Studio, ticked as read, and then published now, scheduled to the minute – or dismissed. Nothing an agent writes goes out without a person's explicit order; that is the rule, and this is where it is kept.

From the phone

The whole newsroom in your pocket

Studio and Insights are built for the phone first – the overview, the suggestions, the chat and the live figures all fit one hand. Order a story, approve a draft, publish, change a headline, check what the day earned: on the fly, as you, with your rights. The phones below are drawn to the product's own typography with example data – illustrative views, not screenshots.

New verticals on the platform

We build new verticals – for example personal finance, run in VOR Studio

A vertical is a title within the title: its own front page and identity, sub-sections and search, live figures with their sources, a calendar, the number of the day, a weekly analysis and a column. The newsroom writes it in VOR Studio – with AI support for drafts, translations and checks – and an editor releases every piece. The platform supplies what a newsroom cannot build on its own: the tools, the data feeds and the reader account. That account is the point: the calculators, the reader's watches and the benefit card only work signed in, so the vertical turns an anonymous visitor into a member without a paywall. A publisher adds a vertical to an existing title without a new system. Shown below is how it works on Stadt Magazin, a German title: the personal-finance vertical Geld – its front page and its tools page. Banks, rates and names are example values.

The same vertical's tools page – personal tools, today's rates, the reader's watches and the benefit card:

The loyalty programme

From display-only visitors to verified, returning users

A legacy site earns from anonymous visitors and display ads – and knows nothing about them. VOR turns the anonymous reader into a known one, step by step, without collecting personal data.

The strategy

From unregistered display to a signed-in habit

Every legacy site earns the same way: anonymous visitors, display ads, no relationship. VOR's strategy is a ladder. First the tools and the games give a visitor a reason to come back tomorrow. Then the personal tools – my month, my subscriptions, my wishlist, my recipes, my trips – give them a reason to sign in: to keep what they have entered. From that point the reader has moved part of their own life admin into your title. Their budget lives in your app, their subscriptions are tracked in your app, the mortgage rate they follow is checked by your app every morning, the price of the coat they want is watched by your app.

The content the reader relies on is now kept in your solution – and the more they use it, the more they depend on it. That is what sticky means in practice: not a notification, but a habit the reader chose. A signed-in, returning reader is counted, addressable and worth more to every partner than an anonymous one – and the loyalty card turns the habit into levels, points and benefits.

  • Open to read, sign in to keep. Every tool works without an account; saving your own entries needs one.
  • Their data stays theirs. The phone-only apps keep everything locally; the account holds only what the reader chose to save.
  • Dependence through usefulness. No dark patterns: the reader stays because the tools are used every day.
AnonymousA visitor from search or social. Display revenue only.
ReturningComes back on their own – counted at the edge, no cookie needed.

09Revenue and attribution

Where the revenue comes from – affiliate is only the start

Four streams are read today, per article, per day. The ecosystem adds the ones a legacy site never had – because a legacy site never knew its readers.

AffiliateTracked buy links with the article's id, every network read nightly, the link guard clicking every link through.
NativeCommercial articles in the same templates, labelled by the system, ordered and delivered through the same queue.
Partner pagesA brand's own page on your title – its articles, its offers, its products – built in Studio, measured in Insights.
DisplayProgrammatic and direct, forecast beside the read affiliate figures – with an audience you can describe.

Ecosystem revenue

Loyalty programmeBenefits and partner offers to card holders by level – a known, returning audience that brands pay to reach, and readers who come back on their own.
Apps and tools27 reasons to open the app every day – sponsored by a partner, or carrying the picks that fit: the wishlist watches prices, the weather tool recommends the coat, the mortgage calculator meets the bank's offer.
Guides and bookingsPlace guides with booking buttons and the trip planner – commission on hotels, tables and tickets, tied to the guide that sent the reader.
MembershipLevels, benefits and the app are the base for a paid tier when you want one – the relationship already exists.
First-party audienceLevels, sections and searches – counted, never tracked – describe an audience partners can buy with confidence, without third-party cookies.

Bar = share of the largest stream; the line is the last seven days. Example figures. Every figure per article, per day, in VOR Insights – and in Studio's overview, where the affiliate income of the last 24 hours is a key figure of its own.

Every affiliate programme you have access to – in one view, not one login per network

VOR Insights reads your accounts at every network and lists the programmes side by side: store, category, status (approved, not applied, applied, declined), commission and earnings per click. Filter by network, status or business area, search by store or category, sort by EPC – and the newsroom picks the store that pays before a single word is written. Applying, following up and matching the commission to the article happen in the same place.

What every article earns – and how much you run blind

Every buy link can carry the article's id. When it does, the commission is tied to the article that sold; when a legacy link lacks it, the money lands in “without sender”. Insights shows both, per day and per month – so the unattributed share is a scoreboard for the archive rewrite, not a mystery. This is what “every euro tied to its article” means in practice: attributed where the id exists, unassigned where it does not, and a monthly share that climbs as old links are rewritten.

Built for the way small teams really work

The tools of the largest newsrooms, without their IT departments. You write; the platform takes care of the rest.

AI translation, human approval

Studio translates with Claude and keeps every language as its own version. Nothing goes live before a person approves it.

Agents on a short leash

An agent starts with drafts only. Publishing rights are granted per section, template and language – and every action is logged.

Many titles, one Studio

Run several publications and domains from the same Studio, each with its own look, sections and address.

Revenue built in

Four income streams in one panel – affiliate, native, partner pages, display – per article, per day. Not a plug-in.

Nothing gets lost

Every save is an immutable revision. Restore any version, compare block by block and see who did what, and when.

Fast, everywhere

Pages are served from a global edge network, close to every reader – no servers for you to run.

A loyalty programme, built in

A reader card in your app with the reader's name: points for reading and doing, four levels that never drop, benefits published as ordinary articles. Levels are counted in Insights – nothing personal leaves the phone.

Your site as an app

Four weeks. Four times the traffic.

4×traffic within four weeks
2.5×revenue in the same period

A European lifestyle title moved its publishing to VOR Studio and the VOR technology. Within four weeks its page views – counted at the edge – had grown four times and its revenue (affiliate, native, partner pages and display, read per article) two and a half times, with the same newsroom. The figures are the client's own, reported to us, for one title and one four-week period against the four weeks before; season and campaigns contributed, and VOR does not claim every change as its own.

We do not publish client names. With a client's permission, we arrange an introduction.

12Adopting VOR without disrupting publication

Built so a small team can publish like a large one

10× is our design goal – what a newsroom can publish when agents draft, translate, check and report and people decide. It is the ambition we measure ourselves against on our own titles, not a promise of a specific result. Control stays with your newsroom, your content stays yours, and you move step by step – no big bang.

  1. Start on top of WordPress

VOR Studio can publish through your existing WordPress, so readers notice nothing while your editors move over.

  2. Bring your archive

Import your WordPress articles, images and tags into Studio – one story or the whole archive.

  3. Switch when you're ready

When the team is ready, VOR serves the site without WordPress – as it already does for titles running on VOR today.

  • Export everything, any timeContent, language versions, revisions, media and releases as open JSON.
  • Rights you setRole, sections and languages per person and per agent.

13Who operates VOR

Scandinavian DNA. European ambition.

VOR Media Technologies is founded and run by working publishers. The people who build the suite also publish on it every day, on titles of their own – which is why every feature is tried in a live newsroom before it reaches yours.

We are proud of our Scandinavian DNA. Scandinavia is among the world's fastest-adopting digital markets – it sets a pace the rest of the world has to keep up with. That is why we built the VOR suite: to give media companies across Europe the tools to move at that pace.

Our ambition is to become the leading publishing technology company for small and medium-sized media in Europe. VOR Media Technologies designs, develops and operates the suite – the tools of the largest newsrooms, run for you, so your people can spend their time on journalism and your business can grow.

Why we build VOR

Great publishing deserves a business that can sustain it.

Europe's media market is built on thousands of small companies. More than 76 000 publishing companies operate across Europe, and 99 percent employ fewer than 50 people. They need technology designed around their resources and ambitions: affordable to run, complete from the start and capable of growing with the business. They cannot afford year-long integration projects or systems that require a specialist for every change.

The obstacle is often organisational as much as technical. When a technology department – or an external supplier – becomes focused on protecting the existing system, innovation slows. Commercial ideas are judged by how comfortably they fit the current architecture. A new title, another language, a reader service or a revenue opportunity becomes a development request, a budget discussion and a place in a queue. The system begins to determine what the business can do.

We believe the people responsible for business development should have the tools and authority to drive it. They should be able to test an idea, introduce a service, develop a revenue stream and see whether it works. Technical expertise remains essential to security, reliability and sound engineering. Its purpose should be to make progress possible. Protecting yesterday's investment must not become a reason to postpone tomorrow's opportunity.

That belief shapes VOR. We bring publishing, audience intelligence, commercial tools and controlled AI workflows into one connected suite. The newsroom can work on content. Management can follow performance. Business development can put more of the company's assets to work: its archive, audience, expertise, relationships and brand. A small team can operate the platform without maintaining its own IT department, while larger teams can use the API to extend it.

We understand this market because we came from it. We were a small media company with several titles, an interest in technology and a growing impatience with the tools available to us. We saw the same problems across the industry: slow websites, plug-ins layered on plug-ins, disconnected workflows and figures nobody fully trusted. Too much energy went into keeping systems running. Too little went into developing the business.

We began by building the tools our own newsroom needed. As the suite developed and we saw what it made possible, media technology became our business. Our own titles still run on VOR every day. We use the tools, encounter the friction and keep improving them.

VOR is built for small and medium-sized media companies because we know their constraints – and their potential. Our ambition is to put the ability to develop the business directly into the hands of the people responsible for its future.

Data & operations

Your content, your data, your rules

How VOR is run and what happens to your data – as it works today. Contract documents, data-processing terms and the list of sub-processors come with the proposal.

Ownership and export

You own your content, language versions, revisions, media, releases and figures. Everything can be exported as open JSON at any time, and nothing is deleted on your behalf.

Hosting

VOR runs on Cloudflare's global edge network, built from a version-controlled repository: every release is traceable and every page is served from the data centre nearest the reader. Your content lives in the platform's own storage on that network.

AI providers

Claude (Anthropic) and ChatGPT (OpenAI) receive only what an authorised person or agent sends them, through their business APIs – which do not use that content to train models. You choose which agents exist, what they may touch and which sections they see.

Readers' privacy

Readership is counted at the edge, without third-party cookies. The loyalty card is a first-party account the reader opens; the phone reports level and points – never a name – and levels never drop.

Rights and logging

Roles, sections and languages per person and per agent. Every action – releases included – is logged with who did what and when. An agent never publishes on its own; a person releases.

Support

The team that builds and runs the product answers – by email and in the shared channel you get at onboarding. Operating routines (link checks daily, revenue read nightly, live readers every 15 seconds) are routines, not contractual guarantees; service levels are agreed in the proposal.

15Pricing and next step

What publishers ask us first

Getting started

Do we have to leave WordPress on day one?

No. VOR Studio publishes through your existing WordPress from the first day, so readers notice nothing while the newsroom moves over. Import the archive when you want it, and switch the site to VOR when the team is ready – it already serves titles without WordPress today.

How long until we are live?

A day for the first title, on top of your existing WordPress site: Studio publishes through it from day one. That needs an editor account on your site and a short call with us. The archive import runs while you work; switching the site itself to VOR is a separate step, planned with you.

What happens to our URLs, SEO and old links?

Nothing breaks. Every article keeps its address or gets a permanent redirect from the old one; sitemap, hreflang per language, canonical links and structured data are generated by the platform. The archive import keeps publication dates, authors, categories and images, so search engines find the same articles at the same addresses – and the new language versions on top.

How is the archive imported?

From WordPress, or from any system that can export XML or JSON: articles, pages, authors, categories, tags and images. The import runs in the background, in batches, while the newsroom keeps working, and every imported article passes the format guard so that broken images, missing alt texts and dead links are listed before anyone notices them. You choose which titles and which years; nothing is deleted at the source.

Can we run several titles and brands?

Yes – one Studio, many titles. Each title has its own domain, design, sections, languages, advertising setup and reader base; a person can hold roles in several titles, and an article can be republished from one title to another with attribution and its own address. The panel reports per title and for the group, and the loyalty card can be shared across the titles you choose.

Content and the newsroom

Who owns the content and the data?

You do. Everything – content, language versions, revisions, media and releases – can be exported as open JSON at any time. No lock-in, no export fee.

Which languages?

15 today: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Hungarian, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish – written and translated in Studio, each version on the same address with the language in front.

How does translation work?

In Studio. An editor orders a language version from the source article; the draft comes back in the template of the target language with fact boxes, images and links carried over, the format guard checks it, and a person releases it. Every language version has its own address, hreflang and revision history, and a correction in the source can be carried into every version with one order.

What does the editorial workflow look like?

Order, draft, check, release. An order sets format, length, angle and deadline; the draft is written in the template – by a writer, by a writer with AI support, or by an agent on the writer's order – and the format guard checks headline length, image sizes, links, fact boxes and legal requirements before an editor releases. Every step is logged with who did what and when, and every revision can be restored.

Can external writers and agencies work in Studio?

Yes, with their own accounts and only the rights you give them: a title, a section, a language, draft only. An agency never sees revenue figures unless you decide it should, access can be granted for a period and expires on its own, and everything they do is logged under their name.

AI in the newsroom

Can an AI agent publish on its own?

Never. There are two kinds of AI access: a person's own connection – Claude or ChatGPT acting as that person, with that person's rights, logged under their name – and agent accounts the newsroom creates, with roles, sections and languages of their own. Both can draft in the right template, run the checks and prepare buy links; neither can publish. A person releases, and every action is logged.

Does VOR write the articles by itself?

No. VOR is the newsroom's tool, not its replacement. AI drafts, translates, suggests headlines, checks facts against your own archive and prepares buy links – always on an order from a person, always in your templates, always released by an editor. What the reader sees carries a human byline and a human decision.

Which AI models do you use, and where does our content go?

The newsroom chooses. Studio connects to Claude and ChatGPT through the publisher's own accounts, over the providers' business interfaces, which do not use the content for training. Content is sent for the task at hand only – a draft, a translation, a check – and every AI action is logged like a human one, with the person who ordered it. Your archive stays in your database; it is never copied to a provider.

Readers, data and privacy

What is counted at the edge, and what needs a script?

Page views and unique readers are counted on the server that delivers the page, for every page delivered – so readers who block scripts are included. Unique readers are the network's estimate per day, not accounts. Read time, scroll depth and buy clicks come from the site's own lightweight script and only from browsers that run it – the panel shows which figure comes from which source.

How do GDPR and consent work?

Reading is counted at the edge without third-party cookies, and nothing personal is stored about an anonymous reader, so the counting itself needs no consent. The reader account is first-party: the reader opens it, sees what is stored, can export it and can delete it. Data is processed under a data-processing agreement, reader data is never sold or shared with advertising networks, and the advertising you run keeps its own consent flow.

How does the loyalty card work, and what do readers get?

A reader opens a free account with an email address and receives a card: Bronze from the start, Silver and Gold by points, Black by invitation or earned. Points come from reading, returning, adding the app, using the tools and buying through partner links; they unlock benefits the publisher defines – early access, member prices, events, partner offers. A level never drops, and the card can work across all of the publisher's titles.

Is there a paywall or subscriptions?

Both are possible, but the platform is built for membership before payment: a free account that earns points and benefits, with paid tiers where the publisher wants them. Payments run through the provider you already use; the entitlement lives in the reader account, so the site, the app and the newsletter see the same status.

What are the personal tools, and why do they matter?

Small applications inside the title – my month, my subscriptions, my wishlist, my recipes, my trips, my watches – that keep what a reader enters. They are the reason to sign in and the reason to come back: the reader's own entries live in your title, not in a competitor's app. Each tool is part of the platform, switched on per title, and reports its use to the panel.

Revenue

How does VOR earn money for us?

Four streams in one panel: display advertising with the networks you already use, affiliate revenue through checked buy links, membership and subscriptions, and partner offers to card holders. The panel shows what every article earns per stream, read nightly, and the brief at 06:00 tells the editor what to do about it – which article to update, which link to replace, which subject to follow up.

Can we keep our advertising partners and affiliate networks?

Yes. VOR connects to the advertising platforms and affiliate networks you already work with, using your own accounts – the contracts and the revenue stay yours. Buy links are checked every day, and a dead or changed link is replaced or flagged before it costs a click; prices shown in articles are compared with the shop's own page.

Operations and security

Where does it run?

On a global edge network, built from a version-controlled repository: every release is traceable, every page is served from the data centre nearest the reader, and the site stays up when a single server does not.

How often is what checked and reported?

Live readers every 15 seconds; page views and readers continuously at the edge; revenue read from the networks nightly for the 06:00 brief; buy links and prices checked once a day; alarms as they happen. These are operating routines – service levels are agreed in the proposal.

How are access and security handled?

Every person signs in with their own account; roles are set per title, section and language, and an agent's rights are always a subset of a person's. All traffic is encrypted, keys are rotated, every release is traceable to a commit, and the log of every action – human or agent – is kept and exportable. Our support never asks for a password and never signs in as you.

What about uptime, backups and getting out?

The site is served from an edge network that stays up when a single data centre does not; content lives in versioned storage that can be restored to a point in time, and media in redundant object storage. You can export everything – content, language versions, revisions, media and the log – as open JSON and files at any time. Leaving is a download, not a project.

Do we need our own developers?

No. Templates, sections, languages, tools and the loyalty programme are configured in Studio, and new verticals are built with you by the team behind the product. When you want more, the platform has an open API and MCP endpoints your developers or agencies can build against, documented for them on the developer pages.

Pricing and onboarding

What does it cost?

A licence per publisher, scaled by the number of titles, the languages you publish in and the products you use; onboarding and the archive import are quoted separately. We publish no price list – every publisher is different – but after the demo you have a written proposal within the week.

What does onboarding include?

A working session on your own articles, the setup of the first title with templates and roles, the archive import, training for the newsroom and a shared channel with the team that builds the product. Most newsrooms publish their first article from Studio on day one and stop opening the old system within a month.

Is there a minimum term?

The licence runs yearly, and the terms are in the proposal you receive after the demo. Because everything can be exported at any time, the term is a commercial agreement, not a technical lock – you stay because it works.

Which version is this, and how often does it change?

VOR 2.5, released September 2026. Minor releases (2.6, 2.7 …) ship quarterly with new features and are announced under News; security and stability fixes ship continuously without a version step. Your installation is always on the current release – there is nothing to upgrade on your side, and nothing is switched off without notice.
